Sutton Primary Festivals

The Spring term was loaded with festivals, which are ideal opportunities for younger pupils to build on their experience of various sports.

We started off with a indoor CRICKET opportunity for Y5/6 at Wallington Girls where pupils had fun improving their skills followed by a series of diamond cricket games.

This was also the case with a Y3/4 Hi5 NETBALL event at Nonsuch Girls. A skills circuit preceded a mini fun tournament.

Year 4/5 had the opportunity of first class coaching for HANDBALL at Carshalton Boys. Learning skills, a tournament and the opportunity to watch a high level game while eating their lunch!

Y5/6 also had the opportunity of attending one of two BASKETBALL workshops leading up to the 3v3  borough competition. These sessions took place at Carshalton Boys and Greenshaw.

March also saw the launch of the first Gymnastics and Dance festival. This was another opportunity for pupils from years 3-6 who have been working really hard in their school clubs to showcase their skills. Thanks go to Sutton High for hosting this event.

As well as all our host schools, big thanks go to all the fabulous young leaders who help with these events and without whom these events would not happen.
