PE Teaching Consultant
I initially began my career after university as a Lifestyle Consultant, Gym Instructor and Swimming Teacher in private Health Clubs. I then completed the Graduate Training Programme and moved into Teaching which was always my ultimate goal.
Initially teaching Physical Education in secondary schools in South Yorkshire, Essex, West Yorkshire and Hertfordshire. When in Essex I jointly worked with a colleague to link with our local Primary and Special Schools.
I then went on to enjoy the role of School Sports Co-ordinator in two other secondary schools.
Leaving the school environment for a little while in 2012 I worked for Sports Leaders UK as a Volunteer Co-ordinator for a Government funded programme called Energy Club, which was an invaluable time in my development as a deliverer and facilitator of training.
Through Future Active I began two roles as a Physical Education Specialist and Primary Sport Development Officer. Which leads me to working in Sutton where I have now been in a role I absolutely adore for 3 years now.
I have been heavily involved in volunteering since 2012, where I was a Games Maker in the Photo Team in the Olympic Stadium, from that time I have completed 4 Tour Maker roles in the Tour De France then the Tour De Yorkshire.
I support Bradford Football Club, enjoy taking part in Triahtlons and last year did my first Quadrathlon (tough is the word!).
Being a Primary Sports Development Officer in Sutton is such a great role, I love the team I work with. Recently I’ve been doing lots of Mindfulness events and Fencing. I love being creative, busy and making a difference every day.
