Mini Medics

Sutton SSP deliver Mini Medics first aid programme to children. Basic first aid is now a compulsory part of the primary health curriculum.  The programme is aimed at 8 - 11 year olds, kept at a basic level, with no use of confusing terminologies.  Mini Medics is educational, practical and instils the importance of identifying and helping someone who is injured or poorly.

Life Saving First Aid

Aimed at year 5 and 6 pupils and delivered in a 1.5 hour session.

A maximum of 15 children per training session, so the learners get the most out of each training session.

What the children will learn:

  • What is first aid?
  • First Aid Kits
  • Safety
  • DR ABC
  • CPR
  • Recovery Position 

Every child will recieve a work booklet and certificate once the training is complete!

 

Basic First Aid

Aimed at years 3 - 6, this 1.5 hour workshop covers basic first aid skills.

This workshop can be delivered to up to 30 pupils in the classroom.

What the children will learn:

  • What is first aid 
  • First aid kits 
  • Safety
  • Asthma 
  • Choking 
  • Wounds & bleeding (including bandaging)
  • Burns
  • Shock
