Healthy Heroes
Want us to lead a PSHE session for you?
Our 'Healthy Heroes' workshops have been designed in line with the PSHE/Health curriculum and explore the benefits of physical activity, healthy eating, getting enough sleep and keeping hydrated, on overall wellbeing.
Focused on increasing knowledge and understanding of physical and mental health and the links between them, children are encouraged to explore through fun, practical games and activities how it makes them feel to be active. We all want our young people to be physically active for life so that they can lead long, healthy lives. Encouraging them to make the right choices with confidence from an early age is a vital step in achieving this goal.
We have different sessions for EYFS, KS1, Yr3/4, Yr 5/6 and can deliver to your classes in a one hour session, face to face.
Mini Healthy Heroes
Mini Healthy Heroes is for our smallest learners in EYFS and focuses on oral health.
It is a requirement and now stated in the EYFS guidelines: “All settings must promote the good health, including oral health, of children attending the setting.” Our Mini Healthy Heroes workshop was developed with this in mind and to support teachers in achieving this goal!
KS1 Healthy Herores
The KS1 workshop identifies how the children can keep their body and mind healthy, including a focus on how having a healthy diet and being phsically active can make you happy. We explore these topics through discussion and fun, practical activities that can be delivered in the classroom in 1 hour.
KS2 Healthy Heroes
In KS2 we focus on the benefits on physical activity on our body and mind as well as discussing how we can best look after ourselves. Lots of discussion and fun, practical games help the children to commit to becoming fitter, healthier and happier!
We also offer workshops with a focus on the following:
- Sleep
- Personal Hygine
- Mental Health (5&6 only)
