Listen, Let's Grow

Our Listen, Let's Grow workshops are designed to cross to explore important subjects such as personal, social and emotional development. In particular, part of the Relationships Education (RSE Curriculum) the statutory guidance states primary pupilsshould know: ‘the characteristics of friendships, including mutual respect, truthfulness, trustworthiness, loyalty, kindness, generosity, trust, sharing interests and experiences and support with problems and difficulties’.

LLG workshops all begin with an opportunity to understand what calmness is and then feel this in practice. Following the ‘hook’, the workshops coach the children to understand what it means to listen and how this differs from hearing what is said.

The children engage in practical activities to practice undertaking active listening following engaging and child friendly videos and games. 

  • Looking after yourself and others
  • Understanding another's point of view and feelings
  • Understanding sympathy, empathy and compassion (KS2)

Our sessions are 1 hour long and delivered in the classroom
