It has been a busy time for the St Philomena’s and Carshalton Boys Supremo Academy leadership groups.

St Philomena’s received their LYG Games Force training and will be officiating at the Y5/6 Stingers netball tournament in a few weeks and at the second of our Panathlon competitions in March.

Carshalton Boys have helped to deliver two handball festivals and both the Y5/6 girls football and the 3v3 basketball competitions.

On the 11th February the boys were invited to officiate at the LYG Regional Sports Hall Athletics qualifiers at Westcroft Leisure Centre. We have a big group this year, but all 23 leaders showed some brilliant initiative and amazing resilience to maintain concentration on what proved to be a very long day.

It would not be possible to deliver so many high quality events without the support of the leadership groups from many of the secondary schools across the borough. So my grateful thanks go to the following who helped officiate at the following competitions the first half of this term -

Wallington Girls - Year 5/6 Sports Hall Athletics

Sutton Grammar - Y7&8 Boys Sports Hall Athletics

Nonsuch High - Y7&8 Girls Sports Hall Athletics

John Fisher - Y5/6 3v3 Basketball

Carew Academy - Y3/4 Cross Country
