PANATHLON FOUNDATION

We are extremely grateful to Mark from Panathlon who organised 4x KS2 multi-skills sessions at Sutton Sports Village during the Spring term. Each session was attended by up to 6 schools as they worked their way around a course involving boccia, basketball, Messi football, and target throw. There were trophies on offer for the first three places in each heat and medals and certificates for all participants. Both events were ably supported by leaders from Carew Academy and Carshalton Boys.

Winning schools were Wandle Valley, St Mary’s, Manor Park and Brookfield

Panathlon also ran a joint Croydon/Sutton Ten Pin Bowling event for secondary schools at Croydon Ten Pin. Carew Academy, Wandle Valley and Eagle House were Sutton schools representatives. Congratulations to all the pupils who took part, we hope you had a great time!

We also held a Y3/4 New Age Kurling competition in the last week of term. Many thanks to Avenue Primary School who hosted this event and also supplied some fantastic Y6 leaders who helped with organising teams onto the correct rinks in addition to refereeing and scoring the games. We had missed the pathway deadline for this event, but medals were awarded to all the teams. Congratulations to Manor Park who were narrow winners.
